Orton-Gillingham Classes are now offered by the same group of professionals that have been teaching in the Twin Cities area for years. Jackie Dimmen, Kathy Fears, Mary Platt, Karen Sonday, Arlene Sonday, and Hannah Tolles are pleased to have formed a new organization that continues their commitment to quality, research-based teacher training. Additional board members include Deb Martin, Rose Schaeppi, Arlene Timm and Shari Hawkinson.

The mission of Orton-Gillingham of Minnesota is to provide scientifically based reading research instruction and supervised practicum experience in the Orton-Gillingham Approach to teaching reading, spelling and writing. Each course participant practices for a total of 18 hours with a student while under the supervision of a master teacher.

The fall Orton-Gillingham Classes for teachers, tutors and parents are currently in progress and all classes are full. Updated information on the summer 2012 classes will be posted in April. Please check back then.
